Was watching the Blues Brothers on tv this afternoon. Elizabeth walks in, checks it out for about 30 seconds and asks: "Are you watching the crime channel?"

NFS Shift

YAY! I LOVE THIS GAME! It is soooooooooo fun! I'm already in tier 3! My best car is still a Porsche Cayman S. I did upgrade it! The next car I'm going to get is a Lamborghini Murchielago LP640. Can't wait to get it. My favorite race I have participated in was driving a Buggati Veyron 16.4 around the old Nurbogring. It took ffoorreevveerr!

How old?

Elizabeth has a new teacher this term.
In a conversation regarding the new teacher, Patrick asked if the teacher was young or old.
Elizabeth replied: "Old"
Patrick then asked: "Old like Mummy or old like Ouma?"
"Old like Mummy" Elizabeth said and then added "maybe a bit younger than Mummy"

I can't wait to meet the teacher - so I can decided: young or old...

Saturday (aka) The dream Day

Yesterday was a fantastic!
First our team won the closest game of the year. Junior nearly scored but lost control as he hit the deck. knock on - 5m scrum to Massey. Harry scored the only points of the game with a good try near the touch line. 5-0 to us:D.
I came home with daddy and had a quick bath before I was informed that we would leave to go to the premiere lounge for lunch! I had chicken nuggets and chips. They put the kids menu on a real seven single. During the meal Elizabeth requested to go to the movies. We went to see the times of the movie. Toy story 3 only showed at 4:50! We were aloud to see it if we could kill 2 hours. First we went to JB - HIFI. I had a look around and found NFS Shift for $39.00! I asked mummy and daddy if I could have it. In the end they said I could!:D! I had a go at the new I-pad and I don't see the big deal about it. So with my new game we went into farmers. We spent a good 30 minutes in there. Then we went back to the cinemas to get our tickets,popcorn and coke. Not to mention a last minute bathroom break. Toy Story 3 was actually the best toy story in my opinion. It is by far the most sad. I had a little cry after the movie. On the way home we stopped at burger king to have dinner. I had a tummy ache afterwords.

Play your cards right!

Yesterday for family games we played card games only. We started off with a few games of rummy. I'd say Mummy was the best in that. Second we played UNO. I think daddy was the best at that. Last of all we played monopoly deal. Last time I played a sneaky move on mummy. I used a card that let us traid property. She played her just say no card on me. I was kind of expecting it so I played a deal breaker. (Steal any set of your opponents) This time I started rather poorly. It all changed when I got a property wild card. I built up a full set of yellows and put a house on it. This wasn't the end. I charged everyone rent and I doubled it! 18m of money came to me through property's or money. Mummy had a just say no card but it didn't matter. I took the win easily. At the end I counted my property's. 18 of them! Daddy won the second game.

Soccer World Cup

On Saturday morning the whole family woke up at 1:00 to see the World Cup opener between SA and Mexico. Mexico were the clear favorites to win this game but as the match went on SA hung on. The hosts were actually the first to score a goal but unfortunately Mexico came back in it with a rather late goal. SA had a great chance for the win late in the second half but were denied as the ball flew off the post. 1-1 draw in the end. Well done South Africa!

Mother's Day 2010

The day started with a lovely card from Timothy suggesting this day should be called Nadia Day - I like that.

Elizabeth gave me a heap of vouchers:
Free free breakfast in bed
One free talk in bes
One free dishwashing
Five free breakfasts
20 free hugs
One free car wash
One free coffee
Free endless LOVE

I used the breakfast in bed immediately and was treated to homemade scones.

Still in bed, I coached Elizabeth into loading the washing machine.

Treated to another coffee in bed (didn't even have to use a voucher)

I have a GREAT family, treating me to a great Mother's Day.

Car crashes

Yesterday Elizabeth and I played with her lego car. We pushed it off objects in the play room. Once we had done 6 objects we would modify the car. Thanks Elizabeth it was really fun

Yay, KFC for breakfast

Today is Elizabeth's 9th birthday and accordingly she can pick what we eat today.
As a result we had KFC for breakfast.

Thanks Sweetie, I'm looking forward to the rest of the meals.

Back 2 School

Yep we're back to normal here in our house in Milford which is in Auckland which is in New Zealand (And it goes on and on and on)
We(the kids) are back to school
And them(Mummy and Daddy)are back to work

The Bridge

Last week I went over the bridge a record of 16 times!
This week I'm going to break my record of going under the bridge which is twice.
YAY!

Nadia's Birthday

Today is Nadia's birthday!

Holiday

Week 1 is nearly over. I'm just going to recap what has happened over the week.
Monday-Easter Monday. Just stayed home.
Tuesday-Cricket clinic for me and Elizabeth went to Clip & Climb. We were both on the same road on this day!
Wednesday-Same for me. Elizabeth goes to Waiwera. This time we were several kilometers away from each other.
Thursday- Cricket clinic. One of the Auckland Aces came half way through. We had a game which was adults vs kids. We kids lost harshly. I'd say I was the best player for the kids in that game because I took the catch which had gotten them out. (The other one was out retired). I also was the only one who was unfortunate to lose his wicket. My partner ran me out X(.
Elizabeth went to bake cookies at the YMCA. Once all of us were home we went to the airport to celebrate Mummy & Daddy being in New Zealand for 12 years!
Friday-Mini camp for both Elizabeth and I. I learned from the experience of the hobo stove is to never smoke.
Saturday (Today) - Patrick and I go see the Blues take on the Stormers.

Easter Egg

Yesterday afternoon Elizabeth presented me with an Easter Egg.
"I have a gift for you" she said.
I said: "Thanks, that's nice, don't you want it?"
"No" she replied "I've taste it and I don't like it."

Shore to Shore

Last Sunday we did the Shore to Shore Fun Run/Walk.
The game plan: Boys will run, Girls will walk.
Boys finished 0:56:00
Girls finished 1:09:00

I think if they had beer at the finish we might have made better times but as this is a children's event we had to make do with an ice cream at the finish.

Its the holidays soon so its the YMCA soon.
This time Timothy's doing his cricket and mummy and daddy can't take leave.
I'm stuck at the Y by myself.
I'm scared:O
But at least Laura (My friend) will be there:D

Wiggly tooth

I've got another wiggly tooth at 5:30 this morning.
I hope its not just my body's way of doing a joke on me.

April fools day!

It's official, I'm growing up, actually it's worse, I'm getting old.

On Tuesday, despite putting it off as long as possible, I got some reading glasses. Have to admit, it's made a big difference, but that does not mean I like it.

I don't think I'm ready to post a picture yet.

Milford vs Takapuna

This afternoon milford school's A team played Takapuna's cricket team.

This is how I remember it.

Mitchel falls for a duck after lasting only a few balls.
I come to meet Lawrence at the crease.
The rain stops play for 3 minutes.
We come back to the field.
Lawrence gets bowled after trying really hard to bring up his 20. (The number we had to retire on)
Finn comes to the crease.
I hit a six in the long off area.
I get a single and went off to an applause.(I got 20 :D)
Finn gets run out after his partner hits a ball straight to the bowler it comes off his had and onto the stumps. (How unlucky)
Nick hits a few good shots and Andrew couldn't hit anything :(
Innings comes to an end.

Finn takes a wicket on the first ball of the innings.
Danger man Cullem comes to the crease.
Cullem doesn't last long and gets dismissed in the next over.
The partnership lasts fairly long but finally ends.
I come on to bowl my only over.
Most balls were full tosses but the one that bounced was caught. :D

End of game:D

The winner is Milford.
We won by around 70 runs!:D

Cricket tournament

A couple of weeks ago was the cricket tournaments.
Mine was the last one on a Friday.
Heres how it went:

Arrived at school early put my bag down.
Noticed my hat wasn't in my bag and had to go through room 2 to get it.
Got into the car with my bag and set off.
When there realized in wrong parking lot.
Ran across the field and arrived at correct field.
Did some practice in the nets.(Constantly being told to keep my arm straight)
Patrick watched the first game even though I didn't bat:(
Second game won again.
Third game got hit in the forehead while batting. :(
Still won.
Sausage sizzles during lunch bought some of the other kids some too.
Game against our rival team (Cambells bay school)
Got hit in the forehead again.
Lost our 1st match.
Beat another school.
Came 4th in the finals.

Win number 2

Yes we did it! We finally won our 2nd cricket game of the year!

I opened the batting (as usual) but not with my regular partner.

I felt fairly disappointed with my batting only scoring 15 runs.

My bowling on the other had was back and up to form but I took no wickets.

Good news is that I didn't get much runs conceded off my bowling.

One more wicket keeper catch was good after the batsman was getting a few lucky top edges over my head so I was glad to take the catch.

The rest of the team played really well as well and that is what helped us win by 11 runs.

Go Fish

A while ago we were given some freshly caught snapper. Nadia cooked it for us and it was lovely.

The next day while driving somebody mentioned that the fish was great.

Patrick: And to think, yesterday morning it was happily swimming around in the sea.

Nadia: Ag shame

Patrick: Maybe it was his birthday.

We drove home in silence.

Another Close One

Today we had another cricket match.
We lost the toss and were put in to bat.
I was in first.
Me and my partner scored 42 runs together in the six overs we could bat in.
I scored 26 and my partner scored 16.
In my bowling I got 3 wickets and didn't concede many runs of my bowling.
I took two catches when I was wicket keeping.
I got an edge that just went straight into my gloves.
The other one was also and edge that went up.
I had to dive to reach it and only just got it.
In the end I scored the most runs and I was part of 5 out of the 15 wickets we took
