It's official, I'm growing up, actually it's worse, I'm getting old.
On Tuesday, despite putting it off as long as possible, I got some reading glasses. Have to admit, it's made a big difference, but that does not mean I like it.
I don't think I'm ready to post a picture yet.

Milford vs Takapuna
This afternoon milford school's A team played Takapuna's cricket team.
This is how I remember it.
Mitchel falls for a duck after lasting only a few balls.
I come to meet Lawrence at the crease.
The rain stops play for 3 minutes.
We come back to the field.
Lawrence gets bowled after trying really hard to bring up his 20. (The number we had to retire on)
Finn comes to the crease.
I hit a six in the long off area.
I get a single and went off to an applause.(I got 20 :D)
Finn gets run out after his partner hits a ball straight to the bowler it comes off his had and onto the stumps. (How unlucky)
Nick hits a few good shots and Andrew couldn't hit anything :(
Innings comes to an end.
Finn takes a wicket on the first ball of the innings.
Danger man Cullem comes to the crease.
Cullem doesn't last long and gets dismissed in the next over.
The partnership lasts fairly long but finally ends.
I come on to bowl my only over.
Most balls were full tosses but the one that bounced was caught. :D
End of game:D
The winner is Milford.
We won by around 70 runs!:D

Cricket tournament
A couple of weeks ago was the cricket tournaments.
Mine was the last one on a Friday.
Heres how it went:
Arrived at school early put my bag down.
Noticed my hat wasn't in my bag and had to go through room 2 to get it.
Got into the car with my bag and set off.
When there realized in wrong parking lot.
Ran across the field and arrived at correct field.
Did some practice in the nets.(Constantly being told to keep my arm straight)
Patrick watched the first game even though I didn't bat:(
Second game won again.
Third game got hit in the forehead while batting. :(
Still won.
Sausage sizzles during lunch bought some of the other kids some too.
Game against our rival team (Cambells bay school)
Got hit in the forehead again.
Lost our 1st match.
Beat another school.
Came 4th in the finals.

Win number 2
Yes we did it! We finally won our 2nd cricket game of the year!
I opened the batting (as usual) but not with my regular partner.
I felt fairly disappointed with my batting only scoring 15 runs.
My bowling on the other had was back and up to form but I took no wickets.
Good news is that I didn't get much runs conceded off my bowling.
One more wicket keeper catch was good after the batsman was getting a few lucky top edges over my head so I was glad to take the catch.
The rest of the team played really well as well and that is what helped us win by 11 runs.

NFS Most Wanted
Hello everyone
Around 2 months ago I got the working nfs most wanted copy from my dad after purchasing one that did not work off trade me
I am now #6 on the blacklist.
I made a little profile for myself if I was a character in the game

Reckless driver in cop pursuits but when I'm racing I will do anything to win
I'm hoping to be #1 soon

Go Fish
A while ago we were given some freshly caught snapper. Nadia cooked it for us and it was lovely.
The next day while driving somebody mentioned that the fish was great.
Patrick: And to think, yesterday morning it was happily swimming around in the sea.
Nadia: Ag shame
Patrick: Maybe it was his birthday.
We drove home in silence.

Another Close One
Today we had another cricket match.
We lost the toss and were put in to bat.
I was in first.
Me and my partner scored 42 runs together in the six overs we could bat in.
I scored 26 and my partner scored 16.
In my bowling I got 3 wickets and didn't concede many runs of my bowling.
I took two catches when I was wicket keeping.
I got an edge that just went straight into my gloves.
The other one was also and edge that went up.
I had to dive to reach it and only just got it.
In the end I scored the most runs and I was part of 5 out of the 15 wickets we took

My heads spinning!
Today while going home from KFC i said Timothy was Mr.T (the guy whose hair is the greatest in the world) So he said "SHUT UP FOOL!" And that was the start of me going completely bonkers!
I LAUGHED HARD CORE! He kept on doing or saying funny stuff. when we got home mummy said to go fetch the mail (Like a dog or something :) While walking down the drive I felt my RIGHT armpit. I WAS SWEATING! As a result when back I said "I think I know where my laugh box is"
The replier said"Where?" "In my RIGHT armpit" "Why there?" "BECAUSE I WAS SWEATING"
That totally got me into a Jolly girl again.
And i hope you have a merry jolly Christmas!

Movember
It's November again which means it's Movember time again.
Because I'm lazy, I'll just post the email sent by my team organiser.
My donation link: http://nz.movember.com/mospace/124213/
Ladies and Gents,
I would like to introduce you to 2009’s Movember team, The Last of the Mo-Geekans. This year we have a massive turnout, as 26 guys have decided to join the team, in an attempt to grow a stylish moustache in the name of charity.
The next few weeks could become quite challenging, so please do whatever you can to mo-tivate members of the team, preferably by throwing money (via the donation pages detailed below).
It is a very worthwhile event, and if you would like to know more about how your donations get used, please check out details on the Movember web site (www.movember.co.nz ).
If you think that a certain person on the team deserves an individual donation, please use their donation page from the list below.
If you want to donate to the whole team, please use this link, and your donation will be shared amongst all members of the team.

The life of a Year 4 student
I just noticed my life is getting harder being a YEAR 4 student. And being in a class with year 3s makes us year 4s expected to be good roll models. Which a Year 4 named Marcel is not good at. Hes always complaining about hating Mrs Smith(my teacher) Not a good roll model. Last week while doing topic I was sitting near the bookshelf our student teacher(Mrs Leevers) said to get our topic books the next moment I found myself trying to squirm out from under Marcel. This left me bruised badly. Never told on him probably never will. You should pay more attention to Nicole (A female year four student like me) She is always sitting nicely and gets her work done nice and fast with good presentation. Theres also people in the middle like Alex she is a good girl and lets other people take the heat when getting in trouble good role model but could be better. As gotten on the sad face( Something what bad kids go on and spend some morning tea or lunch inside) But has also been on the Super stars (the opposite of the sad face) So yeah I'd say this is a good class to be in ignoring Marcel.
Diary
Today I started a new diary. Called it "Diary of a strange kid" after reading diary of a wimpy kid books. Wrote some stuff not much. I'll be writing in there time to time

Police
Went to fill up my car this morning at the Challenge petrol station on the Milford main drag. When I got there there's 2 police cars with about 6 cops hanging around. A quick survey of the area shows no obvious signs of why they are there. After a while the Cheese Cake Shop next door open, they all pile inside and 2 minutes later they emerge with about 5 cakes, back in their cars and off.
Must be the captain's birthday.

To hold or not to hold
Earlier this week as I was saying goodbye to the kids on their way to school I told them to hold hands when they cross the road.
As they walked down the driveway I heard Timothy saying to Elizabeth: "We are NOT holding hands"

PS3 and a New TV
Early February we bought a new TV and we got a bargain on a PS3 by buying that TV
We sent in a form for the PS3 and waited about 2-3 weeks for it.
We also got a free PS3 game from somewhere and so that came into use
Now we have 2 games
NASCAR 09 and Need for speed Undercover
I'm about 51% through Need for Speed Undercover and I've finished one season in Chase for the NASCAR sprint cup in NASCAR 09
My friend also let me borrow Grand turismo 5 proluge and I got up to class B
The new play station 3 is very fun even Elizabeth plays a bit

"Back To Work" blues
I've suffering of some serious back to work blues. Tomorrow is my first day back after 7 weeks off.
A lot has happened since mid-December. Here's a quick rundown - I may (or not) expand in later posts:
11 December: Building consent for our renovations has been granted at last. Boy, that only took about a year.
19 December: Schools close for the holidays. Patrick and Nadia's leave starts.
20 December - 18 January: Holiday in Australia (few days in Sydney) and South Africa. Christmas with the Vaughan family in Port Elizabeth. Also spent some time in Johannesburg and Bela Bela (Warmbad)
19 January: Nadia back to work (Ag shame)
25 January: Patrick and Timothy attends the New Zealand A1 Grand Prix
2 February: Patrick gets a hernia fixed (Ag shame). I am now officially on sick leave.
3 February: Patrick back home from the hospital.
4 February: Kids back to school
9 February (tomorrow): Patrick back to work.
Also, the builders start work on the house tomorrow - we expect the next few months to be rather chaotic. Thanks to Nadia for the hard work in getting everything ready while I have been on my back, recuperating.

A close one
We had another cricket games this weekend and it was the last one of the year.(for me that is)
We won the toss and chose to field.
On my last over I bowled my balls of the year and only 2 runs came off the the over(I think)
Coming in at no.3 with Haydon told me 'you have got to get those runs'
I batted quite well too scoring 19 runs in 4 overs (the highest score in the team)
Hitting 2 fours helped a lot as Haydon on the other hand struggled to get runs(or even on strike as we kept running twice)
In the end a patnership of 24 runs as the last 2 batsman came out.
It was down to the last ball. Kumeu still had a chance to win. All they needed was a wicket to win and the batsman(not knowing they were winning) had to avoid getting out.
The ball was fast and went straight past the keeper and the batsman ran.
They could only run one overthrow or in this case byes but they didn't know that so they ran again but the umpire tryed to send them back which left them stranded in the middle of the pitch and the keeper threw it in and mist but a fielder got it and threw it in and ran the batsman out.
We had lost by 2 runs.
In the first innings I hit the stumps and the batsman, well I thought out of his crease but I didn't know and the umpires didn't see it so it could have been out.
So they gave him not out.
If only they were watching sigh

Thinking that mummy was getting anoyed we finally went there. This time I "DID NOT"brake it.

Our blog’s personality type (from typealyzer.com)
ESFP - The Performers
The entertaining and friendly type. They are especially attuned to pleasure and beauty and like to fill their surroundings with soft fabrics, bright colors and sweet smells. They live in the present moment and don´t like to plan ahead - they are always in risk of exhausting themselves. The enjoy work that makes them able to help other people in a concrete and visible way. They tend to avoid conflicts and rarely initiate confrontation - qualities that can make it hard for them in management positions.

Snow Globe
Last Friday we went to the Warehouse. I went to the shoe department, Timothy to gaming and Elizabeth to toys. We agreed, I would catch up with them as soon as I’ve looked at ALL the shoes.
Half way through, a very worried looking, Timothy came to me and said Elizabeth broke something. Moments later a crying little girl appeared. Through the sobs she explained something about a snow globe and the toy isle. I said not to worry, we’ll go to the customer service and explain.
The lady at customer service was very nice and told Elizabeth it happens all the time and they will send someone to come clean the mess.
As we were walking away I said: “See I told you they will be nice about it”
A still sobbing Elizabeth replied: “That’s not why I’m crying”
Me: “Then why are you crying?”
Elizabeth: “It was the last one!!”
